SAR #9182

There is a lot of profit in misery.

Playing Monopoly: Russia has contracted for 500 million cubic meters of un-needed Azeri natural gas next year - just to keep European econmies dependent on Russia. Do not pass GO.

Sovereignty: The US controls Iraq's air space, waters, and land. It has over 130,000 troops plus another 100,000 merc in the country. And the US continues work on permanent garrisons and airbases all over the sovereign nation of Iraq.

Silly Question: Will CIA and Pentagon fingerprints be found at the scene of the coup?

Manufacturing Cheer: Good news! The rate of housing's price decline is declining. April's decline from March was only 0.9%. Before you grab another beer, realize that this is an annual decrease of 11%. Carry on.

Distinction: Q: If 'interest' is the fee charged for the use of money, how is a fee on the use of a debit card or that for a bounced check different? A: Size.

EIAther/Or: The Energy Information Agency (EIA) says that by 2015 the US population must either (a) decline significantly or (b) reduce per-person oil consumption by 8% - which wuld reduce US lifestyles to depression era levels.

Yes, But: "Water should be a human right." Yes, but there's money to be made and time's a'wastin'.

Miss Manners: Discretion, please. We know politicians are, as a class, classless. They do not have to keep proving it. P.S. It is not called "crossing the line," it is called adultery, evenwhen Republicans do it.

Battered Up: In the on-deck circle, waiting for the Option ARM's to finish their turn, are the mortgages on million dollar plus McMansions. But only the sub-prime ones.

Confetti: As part of its drive to convert useless dollars into resources, China is loaning (giving) Zimbabwe a billion bucks. China is not spreading democracy; either there's somthing under the land, in the land, or maybe it's just the land itself - but something with more future value than US dollars.

Porn O'Graph: Freddie's family of delinquents.

Wake up, alternative bloggers, there may be more to the Sanford Dalliance than meets the spying eye.
First, Jenny Sanford, depicted as the long-suffering wife, may be a bit more than that. She is an ex-VP at Lazard Freres. Does one think her pedigree is back alley? Maybe, paired off to Markie guy as a control as a Hedge on the SC Franchise? Then, one account describes Jenny as finding out about Argentinian Femme Fatale while looking through "financial papers" with Hubbie. Hmmmm, "financial papers" a la the Geithners, as in "how do we hornswoggle some dough". Certainly, Jenny seems more than the stay-at-home, support-your-unman wifey.

Secondly, who sent the original emails to that SC Daily Rag. Hmmmm. My last recollection was DHS was probably reading ALL EMAILS if it wanted to. Well, wouldn't emails of high government officials be a target. Yet, the MSM seems to accept the unlikely and unsupported story that the Sanford EMAILS were sent to the SC Rag by a disgruntled Femme Fatale boyfriend. Where's the proof of that? None offered.

Thirdly, what kind of IQ can Markie have is he putz such stuff in emails?

And ultimately it looks like ole Markie was Spitzered. Love that report from Atlanta airport about Sanford spotted there. FBI natural. Who's next or is it just as effective to get folks who are in the way that they just might be next. No need for a Night Of The Long Knives when you can access everyone's personal communications and information online. Ooops, gotta check my emails.

Anyway, much humor in this heated affair:
