Be outrageous, ridicule the fraidy-cats, rejoice in all the oddities that freedom can produce. And when you get through kickin' ass and celebratin' the sheer joy of a good fight, be sure to tell those who come after how much fun it was.

That's the season spirit. Men made gods to give an illusion of agency over what they could not control. The lack of control simply became the lack of control over the agent, the later is something humans are better equipped manage physiologically. It's why we're good at tolerating situations where we actually could have done something, like global warming; we spend all our energy praying to the agents instead of strangling them.
Now to crush that bit of hope that remains.

I'm just glad Alabama to Texas are getting done to them what they've done to many undeveloped nations with their rapacious lifestyles.
